Mr. Paa Kwasi Sam is the President of the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago. He migrated from Ghana to Chicago to join his mother in 1996. Paa Kwasi has been working with the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the Guest Services Department for 22 years. In 2008, he joined the Okuapemman Organization (an affiliate of the GNC) and served as President for ten years. During his time as President he was appointed to be a representative to the Ghana National Council, where he then served as Business Manager for two years, then Vice President for three years.
In December 2016, after serving the community he was voted to become president of the Ghana National Council. Mr. Paa Kwasi Sam, who turned 49 today, is happily married with three children and two grandchildren. He continues to play an active role in the community, is a loyal patron of GPNA, and is focused on uniting and promoting excellence of Ghanaians and the African diaspora.
